Travel by the Airavat (Volvo Bus Service) or by the Fast Passenger Train from Bangalore 

Bus Routes from Bangalore- Kempegowda International Airport; Distance to Heaven on Earth: 270 Kilometers

STEP 1:  
You need to take a BIA bus from the bus station outside the Bangalore International airport to “Kempegowda Bus terminal” in the city. Approximate Duration of travel: 1.5 hour: Cost: INR 250

STEP 2: 

Take the Airavat bus service the Kempegowda bus terminal in Gandhinagar. 
Approximate Duration of travel: 5.5 hours. Cost: INR 550

STEP 3: 

Take the Auto-rikshaw (3 wheeler) service from chikmagalur bus station. Contact Mr Mohan +91-9741504315 for an Auto ride 
Approximate Duration of travel: 30 mins. Cost: INR 300. 

Total Cost: 1100. Total Journey Time: 7.5 hrs, not inclusive of wait time at the transit points for the buses.
